They are 100% cotton yarns made of quality Egyptian long-fibre cotton. A bonding gent applied on the thread makes it stronger and smoother. riple ply twisting and special hardening (polishing) ensure the thread does not disentangle even in the toughest treatment. The thread is almost hairless, which makes the bobbin lace (especially the one you pt under glass as a picture) very accurate. It is not necessary to harden the lace itself.

The assortment of cotton threads isbroad, but not all types are suitable for bobbin lacemaking. The thickest thread, suitable for beginners or children, is considered to be the one with etiquette number 8. The thinnest ones have the etiquette number 50.
